Self Interview

Self Interview  Questions

In front of the built-in camera on a computer (personal or lab) record this interview as you ask and answer the questions below. Try to answer the question as honestly as possible. Notice if your awareness of the camera alters your instincts of censorship in your answers. Are you thinking about who might see this video? Does this alter the way that you answer? How vulnerable are you willing to be?

Listen to your questions and answer them thoughtfully. Try to learn something new about yourself by following your own rabbit trails.

  • Why do you want to make moving images?
  • What matters to you as a person?
  • What kind of person would you say you are?
  • How would you describe your artistic style?
  • What are you afraid of?
  • Define magic.
  • What word makes you smile anytime you say it?
  • What are the components you need to satisfy a sense of unity with a group of people?
  • What makes you angry?
  • What have you read that has really stuck with you?
  • What makes a good image?
  • What is a memory you recall often?
  • Why that memory?
  • What are you trying to say with your art?
  • What are you willing to confess right now?
